Xero Point — Research & Technology

Modeling life
from the origin.

We work at the intersection of AI and biology — building computational models of the processes that define living systems.

Our Research Investor Inquiries

An origin. A place to begin.

Xero Point is a research and technology organization working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and biology. Our ambition is to model life computationally — to understand, at a fundamental level, the processes that govern living systems.

The name is precise: a zero point is not nothing. It is the coordinate from which measurement begins. We operate from that premise — working at the foundational layer, where the questions are hardest and the answers matter most.

01

Consciousness

Computational approaches to one of biology's most fundamental open problems — what gives rise to subjective experience.

02

Neural Differentiation

Modeling how neurons develop, specialize, and form functional architecture from undifferentiated precursors.

03

Apoptosis & Survival

Understanding the decision logic of programmed cell death — and what tips the balance toward survival.

Research program

The living cell encodes decisions of extraordinary complexity — when to grow, specialize, survive, or die. These processes are not random. They are computable. Our work is to build the models that reveal them.

We use AI not as an end in itself but as a lens — a means of finding structure in biological data that resists simpler analysis. The questions are biological. The tools are computational.

Focus Area

Cellular Mechanisms

Investigating fundamental processes at the cell level — where the most consequential and least-understood biology lives.

Infrastructure

Compute & AI Pipeline

Building AI-accelerated research infrastructure, including high-performance GPU compute for biological data modeling.

Stage

Pre-Revenue / Active R&D

Currently fundraising to expand laboratory and compute capacity. Investor and strategic partner inquiries welcome.

Lee Jensen

PhD — Founder

Biophysicist and neuroscientist. PhD, UC Berkeley. Postdoctoral research, Stanford Department of Neuroscience.

Background

Lee Jensen holds a PhD in biophysics from UC Berkeley and completed postdoctoral research in the Stanford Department of Neuroscience. His work focuses on neural networks and neuronal survival — the architecture of decision-making in biological systems and the conditions under which cells live or die.

Xero Point is the parent organization. Research into AI modeling of biological systems operates as a division beneath it — one of several domains the umbrella is intended to span.
